The iTunes API now limits queries to about 20 per minute and this is subject to change. As a result, if you have an app that heavily uses the iTunes Search API and has a high volume of search queries, we suggest you consider using our Enterprise Partner Feed (EPF). The EPF is a multiple-gigabyte download set of metadata from the iTunes Store, App Store, and Mac App Store. It does not yet contain metadata for the iBook Store or Apple Podcasts. If you wish to access content on Apple Music, please review this information and documentation.
The EPF is available for affiliates to fully incorporate aspects of the catalogs into a website or app. This tool is recommended only for tech-savvy affiliates, and knowledge of relational databases setup is required. Apple will not provide technical support for setting up or maintaining this tool.
Access to the EPF requires login credentials and an active partnership with the partner program. Partners wishing to apply for access can do so by submitting a request at the Partner Helpdesk with the primary account holder’s contact info, proof of being active with the partner program and a short description explaining how they intend to use the EPF.
More information regarding the EPF can be found on the Enterprise Partner Feed documentation page. Review the documentation and if you would then like access to the EPF, provide the following information to our Helpdesk.
